Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of heavy-duty diesel engines, emphasizing engine performance and calibration of ECU functions.
- Participate in the calibration and development of mechatronic components integrated into the engine system.
- Engage in various engine calibration tasks as part of a team, all aimed at achieving the best possible fuel economy and performance within defined limits.
- Proactively seek opportunities to enhance tools and processes used in the calibration work.
- Document test results, tool usage, and potential improvements for reference and future use.
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams to provide support for diverse projects.
- As an engine performance calibration engineer, you will report to the Engineering Supervisor within the Emission Calibration team.
Requirements
- Possess a Master's degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Demonstrate a strong interest and familiarity with internal combustion engines.
- Prior experience in engine testing, particularly with heavy-duty truck engines, is highly desirable.
- Previous exposure to heavy-duty truck engine calibration would be a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, including modeling and scripting, is preferred.
- Possess knowledge of statistical principles and methods.
