Internship Overview

Your Role

Are you prepared to make an impact as an intern within the engineering team at Boskalis Subsea Cables? This internship offers you invaluable hands-on experience in engineering, covering both the preparation and execution phases of our Subsea Cable projects.

As an intern, you will join our preparation team, ensuring that our operations meet all necessary criteria – safety, quality, timelines, and budget compliance. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to bring these projects to fruition, with access to our internal engineering resources and opportunities to collaborate with external suppliers and subcontractors.

Learning Outcomes

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in preparing and executing innovative projects. Assist in drafting specifications and procedures for projects and designs, adhering to customer and contractual requirements. Engage in designing and developing innovative technical solutions that optimize customer satisfaction while minimizing risks. Define project scope, perform calculations, and review engineering work conducted by other departments or subcontractors. Provide assistance and advice during the execution of tenders and live projects, potentially on-site or aboard one of our vessels. Identify lessons learned and support the implementation of follow-up actions.

Candidate Profile

Your Attributes

Currently in your 3rd or 4th year of bachelor’s or master’s studies in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Strong communication skills with proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Motivated and eager to learn. A team player with a proactive mindset and hands-on approach.
