About the Internship

Gain hands-on experience in subsea cable engineering

Boskalis Subsea Cables offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in subsea cable engineering. As an intern, you will be part of our preparation team, working on the preparation and execution of our innovative subsea cable projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of subsea cable projects, including drafting specifications and procedures.
  • Design and develop innovative technical solutions to mitigate risks and provide optimal solutions to customers.
  • Define scope, provide calculations, and check engineering work executed by other departments or subcontractors.
  • Assist and advise during the execution of tenders and live projects, including on-location or onboard vessel work.
  • Identify lessons learned and assist with the implementation of related follow-up actions.

Requirements

  • Currently studying in your 3rd or 4th year of a bachelor or master's degree in Civil engineering, Marine engineering, Offshore Engineering, or Mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills and a good knowledge of the English language, both written and verbally.
  • Motivated and eager to learn, with a hands-on mentality and a team player attitude.
