Procurement Specialist for Direct Materials

Bolton Group is a multinational leader in the adhesives industry, representing five renowned brands. As a dynamic and rapidly growing company, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist for Direct Materials to join our international procurement team.

About the Role

This challenging full-time position (39 hours) will involve managing procurement activities for key categories, overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, establishing strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating commercial agreements, and monitoring and controlling procurement costs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned product categories, taking into account total cost of ownership and quality standards.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or on-time delivery performance.
  • Tendering Process: Lead and coordinate tendering processes, evaluating proposals, and selecting suppliers that meet our quality and price requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure procured materials meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Contract Administration: Draft and review contracts, ensuring clarity of terms and conditions, and coordinating with the legal department to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience as a buyer, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships. Strong project management and organizational skills are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Experience using ERP software (preferably SAP), Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is also required.
