About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team as a PhD candidate in ethnic prejudice research. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting innovative quantitative experimental research in the field of developmental psychology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct cutting-edge scientific experiments to investigate the development of ethnic prejudice in children.
  • Analyze data using advanced statistical methods and software (R/SPSS, etc.).
  • Write and publish scientific articles in top-tier international journals.
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences.
  • Recruit participants and conduct research at schools or other relevant settings.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology or a related field.
  • Experience in conducting innovative quantitative experimental research.
  • Excellent research and writing skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Proficiency in Dutch, with the ability to interact with children or willingness to learn within a year.
  • Affinity with and interest in the social development of children.
  • Perseverance, creativity, and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, social, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team.
What We Offer
  • A position for one year, with the possibility of extension to four years upon successful assessment.
  • A working week of 38 hours and a gross monthly salary between €2,770 and €3,539.
  • 8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus.
  • A pension scheme, partially paid parental leave, and flexible terms of employment.
