About the Role

Damen Shipyards is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Structural Hull Monitoring Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing methodologies for Hull Condition Monitoring, incorporating the use of digital twins and sensor data. You will work closely with our team of experts to design and build advanced naval vessels, leveraging your knowledge of hydromechanics and ship structures to optimize our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Hull Condition Monitoring methodologies, incorporating digital twins and sensor data
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to design and build advanced naval vessels
  • Apply knowledge of hydromechanics and ship structures to optimize our products and services
  • Conduct research and analysis to improve our Structural Hull Monitoring systems
  • Communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Naval Architecture
  • Strong background in hydromechanics and ship structures
  • Experience with simulation tools, such as OpenFOAM and ANSYS
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python and MATLAB
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
