Job Title: Junior Controller

About the Role:

The Junior Controller will play a key role in the EMEA Controlling team, supporting the Financial Controllers and other team members in managing the statutory reporting cycle, reviewing and analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with local statutory and tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the statutory reporting cycle for assigned legal entities, collaborating with the Financial Controllers, Controlling team members, and External auditors.
  • Review, analyze, and correct balance sheet accounts for assigned legal entities, ensuring process improvements.
  • Review, analyze, and correct transactions on assigned cost centers for all impacted EMEA legal entities, preparing and presenting the annual budget cycle and managing monthly forecast updates.
  • Ensure timely and accurate Month End Close and Reporting cycle, meeting tight closing schedules.
  • Own assigned complex accounting flows within the Controlling team, including Cost accounting, Transfer pricing, Statutory management, CIT reporting, and Currency management.
  • Support tax audits (CIT/VAT/Wage tax) for assigned legal entities and participate in internal and external compliance audits (e.g., SOX, IA, ACP).
  • Contribute to projects supporting continuous improvement and current business developments, maintaining close relationships with European and Corporate finance teams.

About the Team:

The Junior Controller will join a high-performing, friendly, and supportive team of 14 FTE members, reporting to one of the four Financial Controllers. The team partners with other finance teams, the Fluke US finance team, and various departments to achieve the objectives of the EMEA Controlling team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, or finance & accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in finance and accounting, preferably in an external audit firm or international/US organization.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory/tax regulations, with experience in compliance and accounting requirements.
  • Ability to initiate, drive, and execute change projects across several levels, with strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
