Your Responsibilities:
With a portfolio exceeding €30 billion, Athora Nederland is among the leading insurance firms in the Netherlands, focusing on private assets. To oversee these assets, we are seeking a (medior) Investment Risk Analyst.
You will join the Investment Risk Management team, reporting directly to the Investment Risk Manager. This team operates within the Risk Management sector under the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) domain, handling the investment-related aspects of risk management (a key function under Solvency 2).
The Investment Risk Management team comprises six seasoned professionals who engage in a wide array of risk management activities, often involving financial risk and requiring a consultative approach in advising management or risk committees.

The Investment Risk Analyst will undertake various responsibilities:
Evaluate new investment proposals from the Investment Office, providing counsel and presenting findings to the appropriate committee;Offer advice on investments and related matters, including ALM and ESG considerations;Support Athora's interests on complex financial and strategic issues with key external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies and auditors;Participate in monitoring the investment portfolio;Ensure that investment and financial risk policies are kept current;Engage in strategic investment decisions, including Strategic Asset Allocation and Tactical Asset Allocation.Your Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Economics, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field;In-depth knowledge of financial markets and instruments, particularly in private assets;Approximately five years of relevant experience, ideally within a banking, investment, insurance, consultancy, or financial risk management context;Possession of a professional qualification, such as CFA, VBA, CAIA, or a commitment to pursue one;A valid work and residence permit for the Netherlands.Key Competencies:
