Job Title: Product Development ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our client's Flavors team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving new technology development and technical portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development of new technologies for plant-based and clean-label products
- Collaborate with internal and external experts to create innovative flavor solutions
- Manage the technical portfolio of flavors and suppliers, ensuring quality, cost, and complexity targets are met
- Develop and test solutions on a pilot scale, ensuring seamless transition to full-scale implementation
- Regularly evaluate and challenge current suppliers on performance and innovation
- Scout for new suppliers and assess their technical capabilities
- Ensure all new insights are properly documented and shared with the wider R&D community
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry or Food Chemistry, or equivalent education
- More than 5 years of professional experience in the field and business environment
- Excellent taste buds and experience with a sensory panel
- Track record in developing flavors and masking off flavors
- Experience with Quality Management Systems is a plus
