Sovos, a global leader in tax compliance and trust solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the complete life cycle of software implementation projects.

With a strong background in project management, particularly in managing large, complex projects in the software industry, you will develop project plans, timelines, and ensure progress-to-plan, actuals-to-budget tracking, and communication of critical project achievements.

You will collaborate with diverse vendors and teams to establish and achieve shared goals. As the primary point of contact for the project, you will provide regular updates to all stakeholders and manage any project-related escalations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage all assigned projects to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting budgetary demands, and maintaining overall project ownership.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Plan and manage project resources effectively, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
  • Manage and approve all billable time and expenses recorded against the project by Sovos Consultants, including your own project time and expenses.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders and hold weekly project update meetings throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Manage expectations for internal and external stakeholders to ensure satisfaction throughout the implementation process.
  • Serve as the first level of escalation for all project-related risks and issues.

What We Need From You:

  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, specifically in managing large, complex projects in software industry.
  • Experience working with large multinational corporations, including Fortune 500 companies, and familiarity with managing projects involving globally distributed teams.
  • Deep knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Experience in implementing high-stakes, long-term projects for large clients with complex requirements.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work assignments concurrently.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or other project management solutions is highly desirable.
  • Comfort working in a global environment and managing diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel moderately to Sovos locations/events and client sites when necessary.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
