We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Eindhoven University of Technology. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will play a key role in investigating the impact of GW-scale renewable hydrogen production on the Netherlands power system, focusing on the network fault-ride-through capability.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the fault ride through (FRT) capability of different power converter technologies for hydrogen electrolyzers and FRT enhancement methods.
- Develop a new methodology for assessing the fault-ride-through capability of the power system integrated with renewable hydrogen production.
- Design and implement fault-ride-through solutions for the renewable hydrogen production system, including the HVDC transmission system and wind park.
- PhD in power electronics or a related field.
- Excellent academic research skills, demonstrated by a relevant PhD thesis and/or publications.
- Experience in EMT simulation technology for large-scale power electronics systems and fault-ride-through solutions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with excellent English language proficiency.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary context.
- Full-time employment for 2 years.
- Salary in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, scale 10.
