Postdoctoral Researcher: Enhancing Fault-Ride-Through Capability of GW-Scale Renewable Hydrogen Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Eindhoven University of Technology. The successful candidate will contribute to a project focused on investigating the impact of GW-scale renewable hydrogen production on the Netherlands power system, with a specific emphasis on fault-ride-through capability.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the fault-ride-through capability of different power converter technologies for hydrogen electrolyzers and explore enhancement methods.
- Develop a new methodology for assessing the fault-ride-through capability of power systems integrated with renewable hydrogen production.
- Design and implement fault-ride-through solutions for renewable hydrogen production systems, including HVDC transmission systems and wind parks.
- PhD in power electronics or a related field.
- Excellent academic research skills, demonstrated through a relevant PhD thesis and/or publications.
- Experience with EMT simulation technology for large-scale power electronics systems and fault-ride-through solutions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with excellent English language proficiency.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment and contribute to a team.
- Full-time employment for 2 years.
- Salary in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, scale 10.
