This role is pivotal in supporting the EU's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through enhanced renewable energy production.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will engage in a comprehensive study focusing on the integration of renewable hydrogen production systems, emphasizing the quality of voltage supply and overall system stability. The project will cover several critical areas:
- Modeling harmonic emissions produced by various power converter technologies, including voltage source converters and rectifiers, under different operational conditions influenced by renewable energy generation.
- Developing innovative methodologies for assessing the dynamic risk levels associated with grid-following converters and LCC-based converter integration.
- Identifying and proposing corrective measures to ensure compliance with connection requirements, thereby safeguarding the long-term security of the power supply.
Qualifications
- A PhD in power electronics or a related field.
- Proven ability to conduct high-quality academic research, evidenced by a relevant doctoral thesis and/or publications.
- Experience in modeling grid-following converters and analyzing large-scale power electronics systems.
- A proactive mindset with a strong ambition to advance methodologies in power system analysis.
- Excellent command of the English language, complemented by strong communication and leadership skills.
