Your Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic go-getter to join our Business Insights Team in Leiden as a Business Insights Associate. As a Business Insights Associate, you will work directly with the Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Sales teams of the different brands under the Team Blue umbrella.

What You Will Do

The role has two broad areas of action: Advisory and Insights Generation. In the Advisory front, you will play an advisory role for non-technical stakeholders within the commercial organization. This means working regularly and directly with Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Sales teams to provide them with operational intelligence, run ad-hoc analyses based on their needs, and make recommendations for growth or process optimizations.

In the Insights Generation front, you will handle big-data analysis & dashboard setup, weekly report generation, quality checks on the source data, and connecting different data sources via Hadoop tables to generate actionable insights. Fulfilment of these roles will require coordination with other departments and teams within Team Blue.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Statistics, or Econometrics
  • Minimum work experience of 2-4 years as a Business Analyst (or in a similar role), preferably in a technology business
  • You speak, read, and write English with a professional or native fluency
  • You can Power Point and Excel with your eyes closed
  • You are an optimistic go-getter who likes to get things done
  • You have an innate understanding of data and statistical methods
  • You are a people's person and can get along well with colleagues from different backgrounds

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of Tableau Desktop and building self-service Dashboards for stakeholders
  • Experience with writing SQL and My SQL queries
  • Experience with Python Libraries needed for Big Data Analysis: e.g., NUMPY and SCIPY Knowledge of Hadoop and Spark
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in Dutch, to integrate better with the Dutch organization
  • Prior experience with Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile methodologies
