Senior Financial Analyst
In this role, you will be responsible for accounting, financial planning, and cost accounting analysis on actuals, plans, and updates, forecasts, and other analyses to support operational activities and provide strategic plans for Europe Third Party Manufacturers (TPM). As a member of project teams, you will provide financial support in the business decision-making process. Occasional travel to production locations and business meetings is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Abbott Product Operation Manufacturing Europe in planning and updating (LBE) operations.
- Provide financial analysis support to business units in various fields.
- Develop and maintain standard cost settings and related analyses.
- Calculate and analyze monthly manufacturing variances.
- Reconcile consigned inventory between Abbott and TPMs and resolve variances with business units and TPMs.
- Handle month and year-end closings, including variance analysis in the Profit and Loss accounts.
- Support monthly loss and profit result meetings with management and headquarters.
- Identify and financially coordinate inventory at risk in collaboration with colleagues in multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate and perform annual inventory counts at TPMs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable procedures and requirements.
- Analyze balances between accounts.
- Implement various ad-hoc analyses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the economic field and relevant work experience.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Able to work in virtual multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and proficiency with Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate within the finance department and with business managers, senior managers, and TPM employees.
