Senior Financial Analyst
This position involves accounting, financial planning, and cost accounting analysis to support operational activities and provide strategic plans for Europe Third Party Manufacturers (TPM). As a member of project teams, you will provide financial support in the business decision process. You will also be required to travel to production locations and business meetings occasionally.
Responsibilities:
- Support Abbott Product Operation Manufacturing Europe to plan and update (LBE) operations.
- Provide financial analyses for business units in various fields.
- Implement standard cost settings and related analyses.
- Calculate monthly manufacturing variances and analyze.
- Reconcile consigned inventory between Abbott and Third Party Manufacturers, and resolve variances with the business units and TPM's.
- Handle month and year-closings with a clear analysis of the variances recorded in the Profit and Loss accounts.
- Support monthly loss and profit result meetings with management and headquarters.
- Identify and financially coordinate inventory on risk in collaboration with colleagues in multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate and perform annual inventory counts at Third Party Manufacturers.
- Ensure business is conducted in accordance with applicable procedures and compliance requirements.
- Analyze balances between accounts.
- Implement various ad hoc analyses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in the economic field and relevant work experience.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work in 'virtual' multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, and excellent proficiency with Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate within the finance department to plan as well as business managers, senior managers, and employees at the TPM.
