The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Services Representative to join our team at Snaphunt. As an Emergency Services Representative, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to individuals in critical emergency situations.
The Job
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and effective support to individuals in emergency situations, utilizing strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Assess situations and share information with precision, ensuring accurate and efficient resolution.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple communication tools simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
The Profile
Requirements:
- Native/C1 level in Dutch/Flemish, both oral and written, and fluent in English (at least B2+ level) for effective communication with stakeholders.
- Emergency Services/Dispatcher qualification/experience of 6 months or more is essential.
- Proven experience in emergency response and/or working in high-pressure emergency communication center environments is preferred.
- Previous experience in emergency services, such as emergency dispatch, healthcare, military, firefighting, policing, or flight dispatch, is beneficial.
- Active experience in handling emergency situations, especially via phone, is required.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with customers promptly is essential.
- Strong assessing skills with the ability to share information precisely and display attention to detail while handling multiple communication tools simultaneously are crucial.
- Prior experience working with a CAD (computer-assisted dispatch) application is considered an advantage.
- Full working proficiency with MS Office is necessary.
- Sound knowledge of laws, protocols, and compliance within an emergency services environment is preferred.
- Ability to work rotating schedules, including days, nights, and weekends, as this will be a 24/7 operation with 5 days on and 2 days off per week.
- Holder of a recent CPR certification can be an advantage.
- Any prior experience in emergency, fire, or police dispatch will be considered beneficial for this role.
- Ability to work from home about 10% of the time is required.
