Nouvall Engineering Services B.V. is a specialized company providing project support for the (petro) chemical and maritime industry. We offer expertise in Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance, Shutdowns, Construction, and Safety.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out tasks entrusted in a professional manner.
- Coordinate construction and pre-commissioning activities with the Construction Manager.
- Review the Construction program and ensure detail construction schedules are prepared for all areas and erection activities.
- Monitor progress reports and construction activities to meet the project schedule.
- Directly coordinate site construction personnel (civil supervisors, piping supervisors, steel structure supervisors, etc.).
- Communicate with other contractor's site personnel to achieve smooth construction progress.
- Ensure all construction drawings, specifications, codes, procedures, and work instructions are received or located, and construction activities are carried out according to all applicable references.
- Ensure the contractor is working with the latest version of construction documents.
- Supervise the planning made up by the contractor to ensure it meets the project schedule and contractual milestones.
- Implement and follow up on construction works execution, quality control, safety, and site procedures.
- Work with the Construction Manager to implement the Mechanical Completions system and ensure construction and pre-commissioning activities are properly completed.
- Implement a Material Management system with the Construction Manager.
- Follow up with the team to ensure red-marked documentation is updated by the contractor.
- Register, follow, and control punch items since the beginning of the construction stage.
- Assess the validity of Variation Order Requests with the site team and Construction Manager's approval.
- Attend Quality and HES awareness discussions and daily Tool Boxes.
- Identify and inform about any problems related to the product, process, or quality system.
- Assist the Material Manager and QC Inspector to identify/clarify any Non-Conformity in storage or incoming items.
- Approve delivery of requested materials from the company warehouse to site.
- Control and execute Contract modifications/changes once authorized.
- Identify and register lessons learned during the project.
- Ensure all personnel involved with construction activities are working in compliance with HES good practices and procedures.
- Act as the Construction Manager in their absence.
- Cooperate closely with HES Superintendents/Officers and Quality Control Manager/Officers to ensure proper assistance and surveillance of safety and quality matters.
- Monitor the progress of Contractor(s) works with Project Control Manager.
- Review Method Statements, Construction Execution Plan, and other construction-related studies submitted by Contractors.
- Ensure Contractor(s) duties are performed by competent and experienced personnel and in sufficient number.
- Participate in Construction meetings with Contractors.
- Coordinate the activities of discipline Supervisors solving interferences and priority disputes.
- Review the Material Management Plan with the Material Manager.
- Verify the status of field changes with Field Project Engineers.
- Timely inform Construction Manager or Project Manager of all deviations, construction problems, or concerns affecting or could affect the project execution.
Must speak Dutch and English.
