Operations Manager

At Univar Solutions, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our chemical distribution site in Zwijndrecht. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our warehouse and production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of professionals to deliver all site operational activities, including warehousing, production, and quality control.
- Manage safety and quality of service, driving clear processes, training, and competency management.
- Deliver cost-effective operations and drive continuous improvement in all areas.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures, policies, and systems within the facility.
- Recommend new or improved policies, procedures, safety standards, methods, and equipment within the scope of your responsibilities.
- College degree in a chemical field or equivalent business experience.
- 3-5+ years of Operations/Distribution experience.
- Safety leadership with the ability to demonstrate clear safety management principles.
- Ability to speak, read, and write both English and Dutch languages proficiently.
- Experience in a structured continuous improvement program and digitalization in a warehouse environment.
- Proven track record in production/warehouse leadership with excellent customer-centric approach.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret Profit and Loss spreadsheets.
- Strong interpersonal skills in coaching, motivation, and team building with all levels of people in the organization.
