Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement Software Solutions: Develop and implement software solutions to enhance the stability, scalability, and performance of our development environments.
- Support Customers and Solve Problems: Provide second-line support to our customers, ensuring higher satisfaction and resolving issues effectively.
- Develop and Maintain Automation Scripts: Build, enhance, and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Manage Issues Proactively: Proactively manage issues, monitor system health, and identify opportunities to automate issue remediation.
- Design Structural Solutions: Design and create structural solutions instead of workarounds, ensuring long-term sustainability and efficiency.
- Take Ownership of Services: Take ownership of one or more services, ensuring they remain operational and meet the required standards.
- Develop Effective Monitoring: Develop effective monitoring to observe system health and behavior, intervening during outages and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Co-Design and Develop Business-Critical Systems: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop business-critical systems, meeting user needs and anticipating technological advancements.
- Share On-Call Responsibilities: Share on-call responsibilities and handle incident escalations, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal impact on customers.
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in Site Reliability Engineering, software development, and infrastructure management.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in languages like Python, Ruby, etc.; demonstrable proficiency in logging infrastructure and tools such as Splunk and Zabbix; experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Puppet & Terraform); experience maintaining scalable systems using Kubernetes; networking, security, and storage expertise; Linux administration and troubleshooting skills; experience working in a true Agile DevOps environment; proven experience with building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
