Credit Risk Model Specialist

We are seeking a Junior Model Governance Expert to join our Model Ownership team within ABN Amro’s Credit Risk division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the oversight of credit risk models, ensuring their quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of credit risk models.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of credit risk models to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation for credit risk models, including model methodologies, assumptions, and limitations.
- Provide expert guidance and support to model users, ensuring they understand the models and their limitations.
Requirements:
- Strong academic background in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, or a quantitative discipline.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data and models.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with credit risk models, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
