About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Scientist to join our Polymer Technology group at Corbion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development of new polymer technologies and leading complex research and innovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and translate target product profiles into polymer chemistry
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of research and innovation projects
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulations
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and share knowledge within the team
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and quality
Requirements
- At least 10 years of industrial experience in polyester-based polymer technology
- Master's Degree in a related scientific field
- Experience in product and process development, preferably in the medical or pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of IP management and driving IP strategy
- Experience in scale-up and transfer activities, including process validation
- Technical project management experience, particularly with techno-economic assessments
- Strong leadership and collaborative behavior, with a commitment to safety, innovation, and quality
