About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Scientist to join our Polymer Technology group at Corbion's Innovation Center in Gorinchem. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development of new polymer technologies and leading complex research and innovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and translate target product profiles into polymer chemistry
  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of research and innovation projects
  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulations
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and share knowledge within the team
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and quality
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of industrial experience in polyester-based polymer technology
  • Master's Degree in a related scientific field
  • Experience in product and process development, preferably in the medical or pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of IP management and driving IP strategy
  • Experience in scale-up and transfer activities, including process validation
  • Technical project management experience, including techno-economic assessments
  • Passion for innovation and sustainability, with a commitment to deliver on promises
