Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Winch Product Expert to enhance our internal expertise and bolster our competitive stance in the winch sector.

As part of the Business Discipline SAS-Hytop within the Offshore Energy product market group, we deliver innovative products and services to the Global Oil & Gas, Dredging, and cable lay industries. Our specialization lies in equipment for Pipelay, FPSO, and Winches & Hydraulics tailored for the dredging sector.

Our vision at Offshore Energy is to transition our offerings towards the Offshore Renewables and Infrastructure domain, anticipating a significant increase in our market share in Offshore Wind. To realize this vision, we prioritize Service excellence and uphold our commitment to Product leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary knowledge resource on various winch technologies.
  • Provide technical support to sales and operational teams regarding winch products and their applications.
  • Develop a comprehensive product portfolio for winches and conduct market research to identify types and applications of winches.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with engineering, marketing, operations, and sales teams to convert market needs into actionable strategies.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with diverse winch types, ranging from dredging winches with a traction of 1000 kg to high-capacity winches for offshore vessels.
  • Understanding of winch control systems, including active heave compensation and load sensing technologies.
  • Knowledge of synchronization control mechanisms.
  • Expertise in hydraulic and electrical drive systems for winches.
  • Comprehension of gearbox functionalities.
  • Insight into lifting wires and their specific applications.
  • Familiarity with winch winding mechanisms.
  • Understanding of lebus spool mechanisms and other drum spool configurations.
  • Ability to conduct dynamic and static strength analyses.

Selection Process:

The selection process will commence with a brief phone call with our Corporate Recruiter, followed by two rounds of interviews. The first interview will involve the manager and a colleague, while the second will include a manager from another department and an HR representative. If all parties are aligned, a follow-up call will discuss employment terms.
