About the Internship

The Kraft Heinz Company is offering an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Development & Technology Intern to join our team in Nijmegen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting sustainable packaging projects, including Rigid Plastic Packaging, Flexible Plastic packaging, Paper Packaging, and Carbon Zero.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in new packaging design & materials development
  • Supporting sustainable packaging projects
  • Scouting of new technologies, including materials and converting solutions
  • Feasibility study, verification of the technical feasibility, estimation of material costs and investments, benchmarking versus standard, life cycle analysis, compliance with regulations, and recycling process

Requirements

  • Packaging Engineering/Technology, Chemistry Engineering, Product Sustainability, Food Technology/Science 4th year Bachelor or Master student with classes on packaging technology/polymers/sustainability
  • Knowledge in packaging materials, packaging process, packaging legislations, packaging end of life process, and packaging lab tests
  • Knowledge in sustainability
  • Internship experience in packaging development or food/cosmetic/pharmaceutical company/packaging supplier is a plus
  • Analytical person with good communication skills who can take initiative and ownership
