Acteon Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our team as Head of Legal-Marine Foundations. This is a full-time and permanent position based in our Rotterdam office.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive legal professional who can provide expert legal advice on a wide range of topics, manage complex legal matters, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely legal advice on a wide range of legal topics in support of the Marine Foundations Business Line.
  • Advise on contracts, agreements, and transactions to mitigate legal risks.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial tenders, contracts, and agreements.
  • Manage and resolve disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Work closely with external counsel when necessary to handle complex legal disputes.
  • Identify and assess legal risks associated with projects and operations.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Manage 3 direct reports and ensure they are utilized in supporting the business to meet your goals and that of the wider business.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years PQE as an in-house lawyer or private practice.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in managing disputes and working with external legal counsel.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
