Head of Hospitality Operations

Welcome to The Usual, a design hotel and F&B hotspot where we treat our guests like friends. We're seeking a highly motivated and emotionally intelligent individual to join our team as a Manager on Duty. This is a multifaceted hands-on role involving many different aspects impacting guests, employees, F&B, and P&L.
In this role, you'll foster trust and open communication, appreciate and acknowledge your team, involve everyone, and promote sustainability. You'll raise questions and find creative solutions. Key responsibilities and tasks you'll be doing include:
- Leading by example by applying our culture foundation and brand values;
- Guiding and coaching team members to develop their skills and help them succeed in their current and future roles;
- Assisting with onboarding new employees during their first weeks;
- Ensuring the safety and security of our employees and guests;
- Analyzing P&L and converting learnings into concrete short- and long-term action plans;
- You'll be the go-to person within the MOD team on one of the following roles: F&B, P&L, process, or employees;
- You'll enjoy being on the floor with our hosts and guests on shifts.
As a Manager on Duty, you'll be responsible for daily operations, including F&B management, guest relations, and team supervision. You'll work closely with our team to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements and QualificationsWe're looking for someone who is a true host, breathes hospitality every day, and takes it to the next level. You'll have a passion for F&B and storytelling, as well as relevant work experience in a similar role (3 years or more). You'll be fluent in English, with additional languages a plus. You'll also have IT skills for relevant property management software systems and POS software.
