Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Consultant to join our team. As a Procurement Consultant, you will be responsible for managing buying activities, reducing overall spend, minimizing administrative efforts, enhancing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance throughout the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Project Management: Manage, negotiate, and contribute to multiple procurement projects, from simple tasks to high-impact, complex sourcing activities.
- Contract Management: Oversee regional or global contracts with a spend scope of up to 10 million, including managing at least one full category and supporting subcategories.
- Negotiation and Pricing: Negotiate pricing and terms for products/services, ensuring optimal outcomes for our client.
- Supplier Performance Management: Lead and monitor supplier performance management, coordinating with internal business partners as needed.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Engage with legal teams to ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and sustainability guidelines.
- Analytics and Reporting: Use analytics tools to prepare spend analysis, generate KPIs, internal reports, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure adherence to our client's compliance standards in all contracting, and use standard contract templates where possible.
- Communication and Presentation: Communicate and present confidently to Senior Leadership in various departments.
- Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers on contractual clauses, involving Subject Matter Experts when necessary.
- Procurement Best Practices: Share procurement best practices and insights with peers.
- Procurement Operations: Ensure daily procurement operations, such as PO approvals, new vendor setups, and contract storage, are aligned with the Procurement Policy.
- Team Support: Act as a backfill for the Procurement Manager or other team members when needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for optimization in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Broad knowledge of procurement practices with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex sourcing activities. Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills). Familiarity with tendering and contracting, particularly in services procurement or the P2P process. Affinity with legal, risk management, security, and data privacy concerns. Proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of working independently or in a team. Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
