We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist to assist in making informed, value-driven decisions.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be integrated within the E-Mobility Business Unit, with opportunities for flexible part-time remote work. Some travel may be required.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating procurement and hedging strategies.
  • Leading negotiations with internal energy providers.
  • Executing and managing contracts.
  • Maximizing the value derived from sourcing positions and assets.
  • Guiding Vattenfall E-Mobility towards innovative charging solutions and dynamic pricing models.

Position Overview

As a Specialist in Energy Sourcing for E-Mobility, you will oversee the development and management of our electricity procurement agreements. This entails negotiating terms and executing contracts effectively.

Additionally, you will manage our renewable energy unit positions, optimizing their commercial value through both internal and external channels.

Collaboration with our position forecasting and pricing analyst will be essential, as we aim to actively manage imbalances and shape exposure within the business unit's financial framework. Aligning our procurement portfolio with smart charging and dynamic pricing is critical, necessitating a seamless interface between accurate forecasting and position management.


Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist E-Mobility who is passionate about making a significant impact in the electric vehicle sector. A keen interest in sustainability and a desire to learn are essential.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 2-8 years of relevant experience, ideally in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in portfolio management and/or trading within Nordic, Dutch, and German markets, preferably with an energy exchange trading license.
  • A strong grasp of market fundamentals, particularly in spot and balancing markets.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proven track record of effective negotiation.
  • A collaborative mindset combined with independent thinking.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks under deadlines.
  • A drive to learn about the electric vehicle industry.
