About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate personnel and resource planning to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor team performance daily and provide coaching and support as needed
  • Troubleshoot issues using lean methodology and provide clear and concise feedback
  • Deputize for Operations Management when required and serve as the main point of contact for the operations team
  • Work a rotating 7-day shift pattern to lead a team responsible for receiving, packaging, and shipping life-saving products
  • Collaborate with Client Services and Quality to provide exceptional service to our clients
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and team engagement
Requirements
  • Preferably educated to a degree level in a science or engineering field, but relevant operational experience will also be considered
  • Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong background in continuous improvement and a proven understanding of Lean methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams that consistently achieve outstanding results
  • Passion for developing yourself and others
  • Experience in batch manufacturing and/or packaging within a technical or scientific field preferred
  • Proven track record in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Excellent leadership skills with a natural proactive approach
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
