Your Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and control Sun Chemical's Customs & Trade Compliance in the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements and country-specific regulations.
  • Lead the operational teams in customs and trade compliance tasks, focusing on import and export processing, preference management, CTN Classification (HS/TARIC), and operational trade controls.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customs and foreign trade-specific areas of responsibility, including compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Provide professional guidance on Customs & Trade Compliance issues in various projects and serve as a point of contact for internal and external business partners.
  • Identify training needs and organize relevant training and education in EU and HMRC Customs & Trade Compliance.

Your Profile

  • Hold a degree-level education or equivalent, with relevant experience a plus.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of UK and EU tax laws applicable to import and export of goods.
  • Be familiar with multi-modal transport and logistics.
  • Be proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
  • Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Be able to take ownership and responsibility of their work, think critically, and be receptive to feedback to continuously improve the quality of their work.
