About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Computational Cancer Genomics Specialist to join our Oncology Antigen Discovery and Computational Research team in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of our antigen discovery pipeline to identify and prioritize tumor antigens for oncology programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate newly acquired in-house and public data to improve pipeline performance.
  • Work closely with the Antigen Discovery and Validation team on internal and external projects.
  • Support and participate in cross-functional projects with other CureVac departments.
Requirements
  • PhD in a computational field, such as computational immunology, systems biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or similar, with a focus on immune-oncology.
  • Proven track record of building bioinformatics software and/or data analysis pipelines/workflows with experience in Linux computing environments.
  • Well-versed in at least one scripting language, preferably Python.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including package development, unit testing, version control (git), and containerization (Docker).
  • Experience with machine learning and cloud computing is a plus.
  • Pro-active attitude with a can-do mentality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in (multidisciplinary) teams.
  • Highly motivated, strategically minded, and solution-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English.
