Join Our Team as a Computational Cancer Genomics Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated scientist to join our Oncology Antigen Discovery and Computational Research team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. As a Computational Cancer Genomics Scientist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of experts in cancer genomics, molecular biology, computational science, and immunology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our antigen discovery pipeline to identify and prioritize tumor antigens for oncology programs.
  • Collaborate with the Antigen Discovery and Validation team on internal and external projects, ensuring seamless integration of newly acquired data.
  • Support cross-functional projects with other CureVac departments, leveraging your expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology.
  • Develop and maintain bioinformatics software and data analysis pipelines, with a focus on Linux computing environments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and cloud computing, applying this knowledge to enhance our research capabilities.
Requirements:
  • PhD in a computational field, such as computational immunology, systems biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of building bioinformatics software and data analysis pipelines, with experience in Linux computing environments.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one scripting language, preferably Python.
  • Experience with software development best practices, including package development, unit testing, version control, and containerization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
