We are seeking a dedicated and versatile scientist with expertise in the realm of Computational Cancer Genomics to enhance our Oncology Antigen Discovery and Computational Research team. This role is situated within the Antigen Discovery and Validation department, which comprises a diverse group of specialists in cancer genomics, molecular biology, computational science, and immunology. The primary objective of our Discovery team is to analyze proteomics, genomics, and transcriptomics data from various sources to identify and select personalized and shared antigens for the development of both personalized and off-the-shelf cancer vaccines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Significantly contribute to the efficiency of our antigen discovery pipeline to identify and prioritize tumor antigens for oncology initiatives.
- Continuously enhance the performance of the discovery pipeline by integrating newly acquired internal and public data.
- Collaborate closely with fellow members of the Antigen Discovery and Validation team on both internal and external projects.
- Actively support and engage in cross-functional projects with other departments within the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in a computational discipline (e.g., computational immunology, systems biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or related fields), with a focus on immune-oncology being advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in developing bioinformatics software and/or data analysis pipelines/workflows, particularly in Linux computing environments.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language, preferably Python.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including package development, unit testing, version control (git), and containerization (Docker).
- Familiarity with machine learning and cloud computing is a plus.
- Proactive mindset with a positive attitude.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly motivated, strategically oriented, and solution-focused with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English.
