Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analog IC Design Engineer to join our team at IC Resources. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits from specifications to release for mass production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Work closely with our system team to define and design circuits that meet our business targets.
  • Circuit Verification: Perform pre and post-layout circuit verification of targeted performances over PVT corners.
  • Physical Layout: Define physical layout requirements for layout engineers or complete the circuit layout autonomously.
  • Modeling and Simulation: Build behavioral models of analog and digital circuits and complete mixed-signal models to support verification on chip level and system level performance.
  • Characterization and Debugging: Characterize and debug designs in the lab and test platform for mass production as necessary.
  • IP Validation and Characterization: Collaborate with test engineers to validate and characterize IP.
  • Documentation and Presentation: Document and present IP/design architecture choices and performance results.
  • Design Review and Test Requirements: Provide specification, design review, and test requirements documentation to guide our support team to meet design quality, yield, and schedule targets.
  • IP Integration Guidelines: Provide IP integration guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate across our multi-site, multi-country activities to support IP integration.
Requirements:
  • Education: PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering in the field of analog/mixed-signal IC development.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience designing custom ICs.
  • Skills: Knowledge of implementation of analog/mixed-signal IC design and layout, transistor-level analog circuit simulation tools, and extensive experience with Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Behavioral Modeling: Experience with behavioral model creation and execution of AMS-based verification test plans.
  • Characterization and Troubleshooting: Ability to characterize and troubleshoot IC designs in the lab and ATE test floor.
  • Process Technologies: Knowledge of BCD (Bipolar, CMOS, DMOS) silicon process technologies involving high voltage and high power design is considered a strong plus, as well as automotive product design background.
