Local IT Officer

The Local IT Officer (LITO) is a critical role within AkzoNobel, responsible for providing IT support and services to local or regional teams. This includes proactive monitoring of IT systems, incident management, and collaboration with global IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery. The LITO will also be responsible for training local users on IT solutions, maintaining accurate records of IT assets, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Training and Communication
• Communicate relevant IT updates to local stakeholders on a monthly basis.
• Provide regular training sessions on global IT solutions to ensure local users are adequately informed and trained.
• Identify and follow up on training needs in the local area.

Incident and Problem Management
• Ensure incidents are allocated to the correct IT resolver groups.
• Monitor all IT incidents escalated by users in the local domain and work with partner escalation teams to ensure proper follow-up.

Financial Management
• Ensure annual local POs (for IT) are timely and adequately entered, including accrual.
• Collaborate with local controllers to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

Security
• Ensure the security of the local IT and OT infrastructure (network).
• Collaborate with global IT, local OT teams, and Facilities to protect against potential threats.

Asset Management
• Maintain accurate records of local hardware and software assets.
• Help track the status of local assets in case of questions from central teams.

Local Cost Management
• Manage local costs, including creating POs, making accruals, and reviewing invoices with local Finance controllers.

Experience / Education
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the IT sector, including 3-5 years managing IT services in a local country organization in a Global IM department.
• Basic IT infrastructure knowledge, including networking, firewalls, servers, and workplace services.
