Job Description

Serco is a leading provider of space services, with a strong presence in the European Space Agency's (ESA) European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands. We are seeking a skilled Programme/Project Controller to join our team at ESTEC, supporting a wide range of space missions and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Control: Assist in preparing, developing, and maintaining programme level plans, including related work/procurement plans and execution and contract actions plans.
  • Resource Management: Monitor and control the implementation of plans in line with resource targets, performing forecasting, identifying deviations, and producing related reports.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Support the preparation and follow-up of tender actions, proposal evaluations, and contract commitment and milestone payment plans.
  • Industrial Return and Risk Management: Initiate and coordinate the periodic updating of Industrial Return data bases, verify coherence with ESA corporate Industrial Return data, and maintain lists of specific compensation or improvement measures.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in engineering or equivalent, or MBA or equivalent University degree from a recognized Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration.
  • Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience in controlling and/or management of activities and resources in aerospace industry.
  • Skills: Highly proficient in the use of modern activities and resource management support tools/databases, advanced usage of Excel, and experience as user of SAP and ESA corporate applications.
