About the Role

Boskalis is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our Technical Department at our Service Center in Capelle aan den IJssel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our rolling stock, including trucks, cranes, pumps, generator sets, compressors, hydraulic sets, and grabs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair heavy machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex technical issues with heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to solve acute technical problems and contribute to the optimal deployment of our equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with labor and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • MBO level of education and thinking, preferably in mechanical engineering or automotive technology, or comparable knowledge gained through work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle technology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of applicable labor and safety regulations.
  • Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and willing to take courses if necessary.
