Postdoctoral Researcher in Predictive Brain and Meditation

The project aims to investigate the plasticity of the predictive mind using meditation. This involves exploring how meditation practices can influence predictive processing in the brain, and how this relates to cognitive functions such as attention, awareness, and well-being.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to contribute to this project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cognitive neuroscience, experimental psychology, or a related field, and experience with designing and interpreting cognitive experiments. The researcher will be responsible for mapping out existing literature, generating new ideas, co-designing and implementing new experiments, analyzing and curating data, and reporting on findings in local meetings and international conferences.
Responsibilities- Conduct a thorough review of existing literature on predictive processing and meditation
- Develop and implement new experiments to investigate the effects of meditation on predictive processing
- Analyze and curate data from existing and new experiments
- Present research findings in local meetings and international conferences
- Contribute to the development of research articles and publications
- Assist in teaching activities within the department
- PhD in experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related field
- Experience with designing and interpreting cognitive experiments
- Strong programming skills in Python, Matlab, or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
