Postdoctoral Researcher in Predictive Brain and Meditation

The project aims to investigate the plasticity of the predictive mind using meditation. This involves exploring how meditation practices can influence predictive processing in the brain, and how this relates to cognitive functions such as attention, self-awareness, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct a comprehensive literature review and generate new research ideas
- Design and implement new experiments, collect and analyze data
- Curate existing data and report findings in local meetings and international conferences
- Write scientific articles and assist in teaching activities within the department
- Contribute to the team spirit and help others achieve their goals
- PhD in experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related field
- Clear affinity with the topic of the postdoc project, with prior experience in meditation research a plus
- Demonstrable experience in designing and interpreting cognitive experiments, with quantitative research methods such as EEG or fMRI
- Excellent programming skills in Python, Matlab, or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- Team player with good communicative abilities
A challenging position in a socially engaged organization, with a salary of minimum € 3,000.00 (Scale 10) and maximum € 5,000.00 (Scale 10) gross per month, on a full-time basis. We also offer attractive fringe benefits and regulations, including a full-time 38-hour working week, 8% holiday allowance, and 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
