Job Description

As a Warehouse Operations Manager Pharma at Maersk, you will lead the entire operational team in the warehouse, ensuring the smooth execution of daily objectives and monitoring performance of customer KPIs. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee warehouse operations, providing a reliable and efficient service to our customers at the lowest possible cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage professional staff, including entry-level and supervisors, to achieve daily objectives and improve operational processes.
  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality management systems.
  • Handle most situations independently, seeking advice and guidance on complex issues, and apply subject matter knowledge to solve common business issues.
  • Operate within established practices and procedures, escalating non-routine problems and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure a smooth handover of tasks and optimize communication between teams during shift transfers, and provide daily updates in the Warehouse Management system.
  • Develop and implement strategies to create customizable solutions based on customer needs, while maintaining standard product offerings.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable quality management systems, GMP, and GDP requirements, and manage activities covered by authorization, including serialization requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute actions related to the withdrawal and suspension of medicinal products, and ensure that training and professional development programs are implemented and executed.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in pharma logistics and managing a warehouse operations team.
  • Knowledge of regulations regarding Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Experience working in an international matrix organization with excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Lean thinking and continuous improvement skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills, with fluency in Dutch and English.
