Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at Eindhoven University of Technology. The successful candidate will be part of the Ultrafast Dynamics in Nanoscale Systems group, working on the ERC project "EQUATE". The goal of this project is to engineer quantum materials for terahertz applications, focusing on the ultrafast thermodynamic properties of layered quantum materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality academic research in the field of ultrafast dynamics and terahertz spectroscopy.
  • Develop and implement new experimental techniques for studying ultrafast thermodynamic properties of layered quantum materials.
  • Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals and publish research findings in top-tier journals.
  • Supervise and mentor PhD and Master's students in the research group.
Requirements
  • PhD in physics, electrical engineering, or a comparable domain.
  • Experience with 2D layered materials, ultrafast microscopy techniques, nanofabrication of optoelectronic devices, and terahertz spectroscopy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and manage complex projects.
  • Fluency in English, with good written and verbal communication skills.
