Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor of International Teacher Education to join our team at NHL Stenden. As a Professor, you will be responsible for conducting innovative research, teaching, and leading a research team in the field of international teacher education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct innovative, complex, and multidisciplinary research in the areas of international teacher education, global education, and cross-cultural education.
  • Teach and mentor students in the field of international teacher education, including developing and implementing research projects and raising grants/funds.
  • Lead a research team in a clear, fair, organized, and inclusive manner, articulating and sharing the aims and values of the professorship clearly, ethically, and responsively.
  • Translate academic research for a non-academic audience, communicating effectively through oral and written means.
  • Develop and implement research projects, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve impact in professional practice, education, and professionalization.

Requirements

  • Hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field, with a strong academic and professional network.
  • Have a proven track-record in co-creation of knowledge between the work field and education, with experience in developing and implementing research projects and raising grants/funds.
  • Be able to lead a research team in a clear, fair, organized, and inclusive manner, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, with experience in working with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Be able to articulate and share the aims and values of the professorship clearly, ethically, and responsively, with a strong sense of social responsibility.
