Procurement Manager Electronics

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager Electronics to join our team at Prodrive Technologies. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing highly complex and innovative technologies for cutting-edge projects.

About the Role

As a Procurement Manager Electronics, you will develop and drive the execution of the Category Strategy, ensuring commercial and technology level performance while minimizing risk on quality and logistical level. You will manage relationships with vendors and manufacturers, capturing cost reductions and developing and executing the category strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-define and execute the short- and long-term strategy for your category.
  • Engage with and support the different Program-teams in the Prodrive organization to drive business priorities such as supply continuity, cost, quality, and technology advancement.
  • Manage regular contact with strategic suppliers.
  • Drive and lead commercial and contractual negotiations.
  • Take the lead in escalations when needed and support the SQE and purchasing team when needed.
  • Act as a coach/mentor to Sourcing colleagues in situations like escalations and in processes like strategy development.
  • Lead business reviews with suppliers to drive strategic objectives and manage performance.
  • Develop the category supply base, identify the need for in- and decremental suppliers.
  • Scout and develop new suppliers and phase out redundant suppliers.

Profile

  • BSc, BEng or MSc degree, technical or business oriented.
  • Team player with strong communication skills (English is essential).
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, up to executive level.
  • Supplier relationship management proficiency, able to demand strongly in a constructive manner.
  • Entrepreneurial combined with a win-win attitude.
  • Able to obtain buy-in from internal (executive) stakeholders.
