At Damen Shipyards, we are on the lookout for a skilled System Owner to lead our Electrical Systems Platform team in the Technology Management department. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical engineering and experience in managing complex systems.

About the Role

As a System Owner, you will be responsible for defining the vision and strategy for the electrical systems platform. This includes developing and standardizing modular and scalable system families, variants, and options to meet the needs of our Damen Workboats portfolio. Your expertise in systems engineering principles and verification/validation models will ensure that our technology is developed according to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities will include setting up and managing the short-, mid-, and long-term technology development roadmap, aligning with our ship type development agenda. You will also be accountable for managing the development and standardization of electrical systems, approving supplier/partner strategies, and heading the multi-disciplinary system platform team. Your leadership skills will be essential in coaching, guiding, and influencing others to achieve desired results.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in a technical direction, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics
  • Demonstratable knowledge of electrical systems in a relevant industry
  • Experience with systems engineering principles and verification/validation models
  • Project management qualities, including prioritization and effective communication
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus
