About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead our Services Team at Damen Shipyards. As a key figure in our Technology Specialists department, you will play a pivotal role in the warranty process, focusing on complex cases and repetitive patterns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Investigate and resolve intricate technical issues using root cause analysis methods.
  • Guidance and Mentorship: Provide expert guidance and advice to colleagues responsible for first-line warranty.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Proactively share knowledge within the Services organization and offer counsel to other services departments.
  • Tech Field Guidance: Guide Project Engineers and Field Service Engineers in the technical field.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze warranty-related data and report results to concerned parties.
  • Claim Management: Gather information about received claims, reports, and executed assignments.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Maritime or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a B2B environment with a focus on Services or new building.
  • Product Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Damen products and extensive knowledge of main systems (propulsion, HVAC, E&A).
  • Root Cause Analysis: Knowledge of root-cause-analysis methods and tooling.
  • Languages: Good command of English language, knowledge of Dutch or other languages an asset.
