Role Overview

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Effectively communicating intricate data analysis findings and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Maintaining close relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, and working to persuade IT teams outside your department to resolve data issues affecting external parties.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest trends in data analytics, risk management, and regulatory standards pertinent to the banking sector.

Your First Week

Your initial week will include various onboarding activities, meetings with your team, and sessions to familiarize you with our values and operational procedures.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with strong analytical capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of the bigger picture. Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with diverse stakeholders and simplifying complex issues. Additionally, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a quantitative discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector, particularly in data management, analysis, and data quality reporting.
  • Proven proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Azure Databricks, Python, SAS, SQL, and/or version control software, or a willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of regulatory and business requirements related to Credit Risk (e.g., AIRB, IFRS9, Stress testing) and ALM Risk models, or a desire to learn.
  • Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • A keen eye for detail and the capability to identify data discrepancies, along with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and monitoring.

Collaboration

As part of NN Bank's Data Management Office (DMO), you will work within the Risk (CRO) domain, focusing on the collection and delivery of high-quality data for finance and risk modeling and reporting.
