About This Opportunity


We are seeking a skilled High-Tech Model Architect to join our team at TMC, a global high-tech consultancy company. As an expert in model-based approaches, you will work in a cutting-edge R&D environment where we simulate and validate designs early in the development process.



Job Summary


In this role, you will be responsible for developing a model to predict print registration accuracy, focusing on the precise positioning of ink drops relative to one another and to the media. The model will take into account tolerances and inaccuracies of supporting mechanisms, including mechanical unit alignments, printhead performance, mechatronic controls, and media transport.



Key Responsibilities



  • Predict dot positioning accuracy based on performance metrics of different print system components
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses to link unit performance with overall system accuracy
  • Support architects during the system definition and verification phases


Requirements



  • A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Matlab programming (e.g., for coordinate transformations, matrix manipulation)
  • Experience with Monte Carlo simulations
  • Solid understanding of accuracies in complex systems
