Job Title: Global Sr Category Leader

As a Senior Category Leader in Non-Food Retail, your primary responsibility is to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with leading retailers worldwide, ensuring Just Eat Takeaway offers a market-leading selection for convenience shoppers. You will drive the development of the category consumer proposition, collaborating with cross-functional teams to unlock market leadership in your verticals.

You will serve as a valuable ally to prospective retail partners, helping them achieve their strategic priorities and improve key metrics. You will be a consultative seller, establishing rapport with C-level executives and navigating complex decision-making processes to create long-term win-win partnerships. Your results-oriented approach will ensure all stakeholders are aligned, and you will effectively navigate larger decision-making units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a future-proof consumer proposition in your vertical through deep consumer understanding;
  • Create and implement effective category plans to deliver sales objectives, considering market opportunities and platform capabilities;
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through lead generation, prospecting, qualifying, managing, closing, and implementing sales opportunities at retailers within the assigned territory;
  • Lead and develop positive relationships with key decision-makers globally;
  • Establish a centre of excellence, global frameworks, and effective local market implementation of your verticals;
  • Co-own the global non-food retail strategy and drive its evolution;
  • Engage JET functions such as tech, marketing, operations, and logistics to develop company capabilities improving the shopping and selling experience within your vertical;

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in new business sales and/or online category management;
  • Proven ability to close enterprise deals and drive fast, hands-on implementation;
  • Commercially savvy with strong negotiation, influencing skills, and ability to craft clear narratives;
  • Experience in building positive relationships and handling stakeholders across different departments and at all levels within the organisation;
  • High energy, autonomy, and resilience with a "get it done" personality;
  • Data-driven, goes to root cause, uses relevant data to take decisions and provide insights;
  • Experience working in retail or retail marketplaces is a plus.
