Job Overview
">Motion Controls international (MCi), a Flex company, is the global leader in mirror glass and power-folding actuators. As we expand our product portfolio to other Automotive solutions, we're seeking a Product Engineer (Support) located in Woerden, Netherlands.
This role involves optimizing and verifying precision mechanical actuators with embedded electronics and software while supporting products in series production. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition from New Product Introduction (NPI) to the Engineering Support team.
A Day in the Life
- You will translate project goals into cost-effective product solutions.
- You will lead design, verification, and validation processes.
- You will provide technical support for products in series production.
- You will manage and coordinate the project team, including Product Designers and Test Engineers.
- You will develop and monitor project plans with the Project Manager and stakeholders, preparing reports on project status, risks, and progress.
- You will maintain product documentation throughout its lifecycle.
- You will apply quality and engineering tools to the design process.
- You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and suppliers.
- You will oversee product transition from NPI to the support engineering team.
- You will resolve customer complaints and implement product improvements.
About You
- You hold a degree in mechatronics or a relevant field.
- You have knowledge of electronics design and simulation tools.
- You have knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded software.
- You have experience with mass PCBA & SW production techniques & controls.
- EMC specifications and testing knowledge is an advantage.
- You have experience with Automotive standards and Quality tools (ISO/TS 16949, DFMEA, etc.) and problem resolution tools.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- You have experience in supporting mass-produced products and implementing quality and process improvements.
